LAPD Dive Unit

In operation since 1957, the LAPD Dive Unit is an elite team of underwater investigators/divers, boat operators, and bomb squad divers who have participated in the investigations of numerous underwater and land crime scenes, as well as homeland security sweeps. Divers have recovered significant amounts of stolen property, weapons used in crimes, aircrafts and bodies in various locations throughout the city of Los Angeles.

Pink Patch

LAPD has partnered with The Pink Patch Project – a nationwide fundraising campaign to encourage public awareness about the fight against breast cancer, and the importance of early detection. Proceeds from the sales of LAPD pink patches and pink cancer ribbon lapel pins go toward research, care, and treatment, and benefit the City of Hope in Duarte.
