The Energy Department s National Nuclear Security Administration has awarded separate contracts for the operations and maintenance as well as security of the Nevada National Security Site near Las Vegas.

A joint venture of Honeywell (NYSE: HON), Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) and Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII) Stoller Newport News Nuclear division has won the potential 10-year, $5 billion contract to operate and manage the site, NNSA said May 12 .

The contract originally awarded to Nevada Site Science Support and Technologies in 2016 was revoked due to NVS3T s failure to inform NNSA that it was acquired by Leidos Holdings (NYSE: LDOS) after the latter s merger with Lockheed Martin s (NYSE: LMT) government information technology and services businesses.

NNSA also awarded Day Zimmermann s SOC subsidiary a contract to carry out protective force services for the Nevada site.

SOC said Friday it will work with small business subcontractors Longenecker Associates. Protection Strategies and MCH Consulting Services under the contract.

Nye County, Nevada-based NNSS works to support scientific experiments and nuclear emergency response training to help secure the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.
